Troyen A. Brennan, M.D., M.P.H, is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of CVS Health Corporation. Prior to joining CVS Health Corporation, Dr. Brennan was Chief Medical Officer of Aetna Inc. From 2000 to 2005, Dr. Brennan served as President and CEO of Brigham and Women's Physician's Organization. In his academic work, he was Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Professor of Law and Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Brennan received his M.D. and M.P.H. degrees from Yale Medical School and his J.D. degree from Yale Law School. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.

Josh Flum is the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and Digital for CVS Health. In this role he is responsible for accelerating CVS Health’s growth through long-term strategic and market development initiatives, partnerships, investments, acquisitions and world-class digital experiences. In addition, he drives organizational alignment on the positioning of CVS Health in the changing health care marketplace and in identifying new market opportunities and business models to further innovation and long-term growth.

Previously, Flum served as CVS Health’s Executive Vice President of Pharmacy Services, focused on growing CVS Health’s retail pharmacy business through the development and implementation of innovative programs and initiatives. He led the pharmacy operations, pharmacy professional services and payer relations functions that support the company’s more than 9,600 retail pharmacies. In addition, he oversaw CVS Health’s Enterprise Product Innovation and Development team and the Enterprise pharmacy growth team.

Flum joined the company in 2004. Prior roles at CVS Health include leadership positions in Pharmacy Operations and Pharmacy Technology. He has led several initiatives focused on improving pharmacy workflow, productivity and quality, which have significantly enhanced pharmacy services at CVS Pharmacy. Flum also led the cross-functional team responsible for the design and launch of the company’s ground-breaking Pharmacy Advisor program.

Flum is a graduate of the Yale Law School and spent the first years of his professional career clerking for the Honorable Edward R. Becker on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and then as an associate with the law firm Miller, Cassidy, Larroca and Lewin, LLP. He then joined the Boston Consulting Group where his work focused on the consumer and retail practice area.

Flum earned his bachelor’s degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Tufts University and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

C. Daniel Haron, R.Ph., is Executive Vice President of CVS Health and President of Omnicare, the company’s long-term care business. In this role, Haron is responsible for expanding CVS Health’s reach in the long-term care pharmacy sector through clinical excellence, enhanced client service and optimized operations. As President of Omnicare he will lead the development and management of relationships with the skilled nursing, assisted living and other chronic care settings that utilize Omnicare’s services.

Prior to his role at CVS Health, Haron served as President and CEO of NuScriptRx and as a member of their Board of Directors. Before his position at NuScriptRX, Haron served as President of Cigna Pharmacy Management, leading all aspects of their PBM business. While at Cigna, Haron served on the Board of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA). Prior to Cigna, he served as the Senior Vice President of Pharmacy for Brooks and Eckerd drug stores. Haron began his career with People’s Drug Stores and through a series of promotions became Director of Pharmacy Operations at CVS Pharmacy.

Haron is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences.

Kevin Hourican is Executive Vice President of CVS Health and President of CVS Pharmacy. In this role, Hourican has responsibility for all aspects of the company’s retail business including its nearly 9,800 retail stores, 20 distribution centers, as well as merchandising, s upply chain, marketing, real estate, front store and pharmacy operations. He will also play a key role in the continued transformation of retail into the front door to health care for consumers, patients and caregivers.

Since joining CVS Health in 2012, Hourican has been instrumental in creating an industry-leading retail pharmacy care experience through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives including ScriptPath, Rx Savings Finder, Adherence Improvement programs and Pharmacy Home Delivery. He previously held the role of Executive Vice President, Retail Pharmacy and Supply Chain and had responsibility for leading the pharmacy operations, professional services and retail pharmacy product innovation and development functions, as well as the company’s supply chain organization.

Prior to joining CVS Health, Hourican served in executive leadership roles at Macy’s and Sears Roebuck where he gained significant experience in omnichannel operations and front store merchandising. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics as well as a master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Rick Jelinek is Executive Vice President of Integration for CVS Health. Jelinek is responsible for leading the integration efforts related to the CVS Health and Aetna transaction. His primary focus is working across the newly created enterprise to achieve deal goals, helping to drive profitable growth and participating in transforming the health care experience for consumers. Previously, Jelinek was Executive Vice President of Enterprise Strategy at Aetna where he was responsible for leading critical enterprise and customer and business initiatives that advanced Aetna’s strategy. Jelinek was also the Head of Markets at Aetna, where he connected all product and health service strategies at the local market level and oversaw the company’s national network organization. Jelinek is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the senior governing body of the company.

Jelinek has broad healthcare experience, serving in senior roles with payors and providers. He also spent time at Advent International on the private equity side of the industry. Jelinek was at United Health for 19 years, serving in a variety of executive leadership roles including CEO of OptumHealth.

Jelinek is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and a founding advisory board member for the Griffith Leadership Center at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He currently is a member of the board of directors of HealthEdge and previously served on the board of directors of Redbrick Health, Sutter Health, the Minnesota Children’s Museum and Cotiviti.

Jelinek holds a master’s degree in health services administration and an MBA from the University of Michigan, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.

He is responsible for overseeing all new and existing client relationships for CVS Health Corporation’s pharmacy benefit management business. Previously, from February 1999 until February 2004, Mr. Joyner served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Health. Mr. Joyner has served in a number of key sales and management positions for the company including Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and was responsible for overseeing all sales and account management services. Previously, Mr. Joyner was an account executive for Aetna Health Plans. Mr. Joyner earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in finance, from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and currently holds a certified employee benefit specialist (CEBS) designation.

Dr. Alan Lotvin is Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer for CVS Health. In this role, Dr. Lotvin has oversight of the portfolio of business transformation initiatives across the enterprise with a focus on identifying opportunities for growth and innovation to create a new health care model that is easier to use, less expensive and puts consumers at the center of their care.

Dr. Lotvin has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical benefit management and specialty pharmacy industries. Prior to his current role, he served as Executive Vice President of CVS Specialty, the specialty pharmacy of CVS Health, and before joining the company, Dr. Lotvin was President and Chief Executive Officer of ICORE Healthcare, a Magellan Health Services company. Previously, Dr. Lotvin held multiple roles at Medco Health Solutions, including President of Medco Specialty Pharmacy Services and Senior Vice President of Manufacturer Contracting.

Dr. Lotvin began his career as a practicing cardiologist in New Jersey. He holds a master's degree in Medical Informatics from Columbia University and a Medical Degree from the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Lotvin also holds US Patent #6269819 Method and Apparatus for Circulatory Valve Repair.

Karen S. Lynch is Executive Vice President of CVS Health and President of the Aetna Business Unit. She is responsible for driving the CVS Health strategy to deliver consumer-focused, high-value healthcare to the nearly 45 million people that the Aetna Business Unit serves.

Lynch has nearly three decades of experience in the health care industry. Prior to joining CVS Health, she served as President of Aetna overseeing the company’s Government and Commercial businesses. She also held executive positions at Magellan Health Services and Cigna. Lynch began her career with Ernst & Young as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

For the last three years (2016 – 2018), Lynch was named to Fortune’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business for her leadership and contributions to improving the health care system. She was also recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2017 Top 25 Women in Healthcare, highlighting her role in transforming health care delivery across the country.

Lynch serves as a director of U.S. Bancorp, a trustee of The Bushnell Performing Arts Center, and is a member of the Global 50 and the Boston College Women’s Council. She is a board member of the Aetna Foundation and an advisory board member of IBM Watson Health. She is a past advisory board member of both NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans and the Boston office of Ernst & Young. Lynch served for three consecutive years as Honorary Chair of the Komen Connecticut Race for the Cure.

Lynch has been recognized for her leadership by numerous organizations and publications, including the National Association for Specialty Health Organizations, Business Insurance, the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, and Insurance Networking News. She has also co-chaired the Health Care and Pharmaceutical Task Force for the Wall Street Journal Women in the Economy Conference.

Lynch earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College and an MBA from Boston University. In 2015, she was presented with an honorary doctorate degree of humane letters from Becker College in Worcester, MA.

Derica Rice is Executive Vice President of CVS Health and President of CVS Caremark, the company’s pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business. In this role, Rice oversees all aspects of the PBM business including sales and account management, operations, mail service pharmacy and specialty pharmacy. Rice also drives PBM strategy, new business development and client relationship management and retention.

Rice has more than 30 years of experience as a health care executive with a strong track record of delivering results in leadership positions. Rice joined CVS Health in 2018 from Eli Lilly and Company where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of global services and Chief Financial Officer. During his 27-year career at Eli Lilly, Rice was a key player in helping to drive the company’s innovation strategy and held numerous roles in finance and operations, including as Chief Financial Officer for Lilly Canada, General Manager of Lilly’s U.K. affiliate, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of European operations, and as Eli Lilly’s Vice President and Controller.

Rice earned his master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University.

Fran Soistman is Executive Vice President of the Aetna Business Unit of CVS Health, and President of Government Services. He is responsible for driving growth in the company’s Medicare, Medicaid and Federal Employees Health Benefits Program businesses.

Mr. Soistman, who joined Aetna in 2013, has more than 35 years of experience in health insurance and managed care. Prior to joining Aetna, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Jessamine Healthcare, a firm focused on strategic investment opportunities in the health care industry. Before his tenure at Jessamine, Mr. Soistman held several senior leadership positions at Coventry Health Care, including Executive Vice President for the Individual Consumer and Government Business Division. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s individual Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid and commercial individual products, which served more than 2.5 million members across the United States.

Mr. Soistman received his Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University and is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program. He has been honored with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Healthcare Technology/Services category, the Towson University Distinguished Alumni Award and a Doctor of Humane Letters. Mr. Soistman has served on multiple higher education boards throughout the past 25 years, including a 10-year term on the Penn State University Presidential Leadership Board of Directors. Currently, he serves on the Towson University Board of Visitors as Chairman, the University System of Maryland Foundation Board of Directors and the Finca Vigía Foundation Board of Directors. In addition, Mr. Soistman represents CVS Health on the Healthcare Leadership Council serving on the Executive Committee, the Healthcare Transformation Task Force serving as Board Chairman, and the Harvard Medical School Department of Health Care Policy Scientific Advisory Board.

Jim Clark is Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for CVS Health. In this position, he is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, aviation, and procurement. Previously, Clark served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting for CVS Health for more than nine years.

Before joining CVS Health, Clark spent 22 years in public accounting working in the San Francisco, Stockholm, and Boston audit practices of Deloitte & Touche LLP, including eight years as an audit partner.

A certified public accountant, Clark graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
